The PSPL Surf Academy Development Center serves several training functions: Puts on College mini-camps for current Academy and non-Academy players seeking collegiate level training over two or three days. Players also also receive detailed information and guidance on the college recruiting process.
The Surf Development Center offers the Surf Juniors technical & tactical training for 7 to 13 year olds. The development center identifies talent for the various Surf Academy player pools and serves as the center for player training and education. It is also the source for information on college recruitment and college placement. For U13 and younger, the Surf Juniors program focuses on improving technical skills and eventually introducing tactical elements of the game. Players are pushed in demanding training environments and evaluated at the end of the sessions. The development center is not a required Academy activity. But is offered as supplemental training for all players wanting more competitive training sessions. What's more: it is the place to be seen if you want to join the PSPL Surf Academy program!

§  The Development Centers will be assigned across Washington State.

§  Age of 7 to 18 years

PSPL Surf Academy Development Centers will be the primary forum to identify local talent and train players at an elite level. The PSPL Surf Academy program partners with PSPL Clubs.

 The Development Centers will consist of two to three days of training under the PSPL Surf Academy curriculum. Current PSPL Surf Academy coaching staff - with special guest coaches  - will run the training sessions.

The Development Centers are open to all players who want to continue to improve and seek additional training opportunities. Participating athletes will be invited to attend a variety of off-field sessions – from college planning to fitness and nutrition.

The coaching staff will constantly be identifying and evaluating talent that participates in the various Development Centers through the 2017 season. .

If invited to the player pool, the player will train and play with the current registered players in his/her age group. During this trial period, coaches will monitor the player and then make a decision.
