About the PSPL Surf Academy Directors

Intro:Steve Richards & Erik Oman
Steve Richards is the PSPL Surf Academy Director of Coaching. Richards has been a member of the Surf Academy coaching staff, RSA Elite Coaching Director and chief organizer for the PSPL College ID Camp, in addition to serving as a collegiate and professional coach, youth club director and former professional soccer player.
Erik Oman, an NSCAA Coaching instructor and PSPL Academy coach, is the assistant director for Surf Academy who oversees the program coaches for Eastern Washington. Oman also has been named league technical director and will help promote coaching education for all PSPL clubs and coaches across the state.

Steve Richards
Surf Academy Coaching Director
Steve Richards has chalked up more than 30 years of professional playing and coaching experience. He started his professional career with Aston Villa Academy in England and ended his playing days with the Orlando Sundogs in the U.S.I.S.L. A-League. Richards holds an NSCAA National Premier diploma, a USSF "C", and he has coached at nearly every level of the game - from the collegiate ranks to top premier youth clubs.
Erik Oman
Assistant Academy Director - Eastern Washington
Erik Oman resides in Seattle, Washington and has more than 25 years of professional experience in soccer as a player, coach, educator and consultant. With a background in kinesiology and child development, Erik has coached youth, collegiate and semiprofessional soccer, served as a club and state director of coaching, served on ODP Regional Staff, and provides high-level NSCAA coaching education across the country. Erik played four years of college soccer at Indiana University.
