Vernon Croft & Erik Oman

Vernon Croft is the PSPL Surf Academy Director of Coaching. Croft is currently the Spokane Breakers Technical Director and the head coach of the PSPL Surf Academy G00 team. Croft is succeeding Steve Richards, current Surf Academy coaching director, who has relocated across the country. Richards will remain involved with the academy and the winter college ID Camp.
Erik Oman, an NSCAA Coaching instructor and PSPL Academy coach, is the assistant director for Surf Academy who oversees the program coaches for Eastern Washington. Oman also has been named league technical director and will help promote coaching education for all PSPL clubs and coaches across the state.

Vernon Croft

Surf Academy Director of Coaching -
Croft comes to the Surf Academy with nearly 23 years of collegiate coaching experience. He was the head women’s coach at University of Akron and Indiana State University and assistant coach for Florida International University, University of Miami (FL), and Missouri State University. He also spent two years as training staff member for the United States Soccer Federation.
Croft holds a USSF “A” license and an NSCAA Advance National diploma, which he passed with “distinction.”
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Lynchburg College in health and movement sciences, and he has earned a master of education from Widener University.

Erik Oman

Assistant Academy Director/Technical Director - Erik Oman resides in Seattle, Washington and has more than 25 years of professional experience in soccer as a player, coach, educator and consultant.
With a background in kinesiology and child development, Erik has coached youth, collegiate and semiprofessional soccer, served as a club and state director of coaching, served on ODP Regional Staff, and provides high-level NSCAA coaching education across the country. Erik played collegiate soccer at Indiana University and professionally with the Colorado Foxes in the APSL.
