PSPL Surf Academy Coaching Staff Opportunities

Coaching opportunities in the PSPL Surf Academy program consist of Head, and assistant positions, partial support availability positions and junior coach mentor program, please scroll down for more details on each of these positions. There are also advanced positions for regional coaching staff.
  • Head & Assistant Coaching Staff +

    • The Full availability soccer coaching role provides a full schedule of coaching from January through September and has the potential for limited hours over the winter.
    • Candidates applying for a Head Coaching position should possess a minimum of a USSF A license or NSCAA Premier Diploma..
    • Candidates applying for a Assistant Coaching position should possess a minimum of a USSF C license or NSCAA Advanced Diploma
    • Candidates must also hold valid driving licenses, have transportation, and have a clean criminal record.
    • The role not only includes coaching but administration tasks, weekly meetings, and clinics.
    • Positions are available in our grassroots community based programs, travel programs or our Regional Development.
    • Positions will be assigned based on the interview process.
  • Support & Special Topics Coaching Staff +

    • The partial availability is an ideal position for those who can only commit to coaching a few weekends.
    • Candidates should possess a minimum of a USSF D license or NSCAA National Diploma, be over the age of 21 and have at least two years of coaching experience within soccer.
    • Candidates must also hold valid driving licenses, have transportation, and have a clean criminal record.
    • Positions are available in our Development community based programs.
  • Junior Coach Mentor Program +

    • The PSPL SURF Academy Mentor Program provides an opportunity for aspiring young coaches to join the organization as a part-time junior coach and assistant.
    • This program is designed to integrate enthusiastic coaches who are willing to learn and gain experience under the guidance of our PSPL Academy Head Coaches into the PSPL Surf Academy coaching ranks.
    • Candidates should be locally based, hold a basic coaching qualification, have good organizational and communication skills and be willing to continue to pursue advanced coaching education.
    • Junior coaches will have the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches, attend professional development meetings, attend Academy training events, attend some Academy tournament events and obtain additional coaching qualifications.
