Details Matter
We tell our college-bound scholar-athletes that the little things separate you from the pack.
Tens of thousands of talented high school soccer players compete all compete for limited roster spots for men’s and women’s collegiate soccer programs. The difference to securing athletic or academic money is often found in the details.
We believe details matter!
That’s why PSPL Surf Academy we focus on the details that will set our scholar-athletes apart. Many of our players cannot afford to pay for college tuition, others are first in their family to attend college, and still others come from families that already are saddled with the high cost of college debt. Our job is to help these deserving young people find a way to secure a four-year collegiate while trying to keep their debt to a minimum.
We do that by assembling some of the most talented soccer players in Washington state who have dreams of playing soccer and earning a university degree. The Surf Academy is college prep soccer program that is trying to create pathways and opportunities for young people to attend college and receive some form of financial help through talented athletic and academic achievement.
Our players need to travel to national showcase tournaments in order to play among as many college coaches as possible over a tight, four-year window. Every trip out-of-state to a national tournament costs one player nearly $1,000 in travel expenses. Such high costs make it nearly impossible for many talented scholar athletes to achieve their dream of playing collegiate soccer.
We are asking for your help. Any donation to the PSPL Sports Foundation goes to reducing the overall travel costs for all of our eligible Surf Academy players.
We helping many deserving players and families find a way to reduce the high cost of university education while also pursuing the sport they love. It’s a win for everyone!
